Collection: Mortar Board / Spot Board

Mortar Boards, also called spot boards, are flat boards used on masonry and bricklaying sites to hold and carry mortar while working. They give bricklayers a surface close to the work area where mortar can be placed, mixed and accessed easily without returning to the mix point.

Traditionally made from wood, modern versions are usually plastic with handles to make them easier to transport on scaffold or between walls, and they resist moisture so they don’t draw water from the mortar. Some boards sit on dedicated stands to position them at a convenient working height on site.
